How To Help

The participation of groups and individuals is essential in our work. A large number of people working for the cause of children-victims of State violence will have a louder voice in instituting relevant changes in the societal structure. Concretely, any individual or group can share any of the following.

  • Donate toys, books, art materials, clothes, educational materials, medicine and other material or financial assistance to children victims of State violence.
  • Sponsor specific programs such as nutritional and medical programs, educational scholarships or our integrated orphan support program.
  • Donate computer software and/or hardware that will improve ways we can respond to the needs of the children. Connecting via fax and data communications, the CRC network distributed among provinces in the Philippines.
  • Donate library materials in the field of childcare, therapy work, community work, and organizing human rights.

Skills, Expertise, Experience

  • Volunteer your services in the specific areas of operation such as therapy program, advocacy and research.
  • Conduct research or practicum work at our Centers.
  • Share us your experience in childcare work.

  • Join in mass actions initiated by organizations, on issues affecting the basic sectors that receive the brunt of the state's repression and oppression.
  • Organize and/or participate in education and discussion sessions on relevant socio-political issues.
  • Initiate school, community, or family activities (hunger strikes, noise barrage, etc.) that will show solidarity with the cause of the victims of state violence.
  • Note down important news or issue you read in the national and local newspapers that are related to state violence against children, then write letters to the editor expressing your views and sentiments.
  • Conscientiously write to the President, urging her to stop the government's militarization that has adversely affected communities and families. Write letters to the media, the Philippine government, and other influential or pressure groups regarding government policies (or the lack of it) that compromise children's rights and welfare.
  • Participate or volunteer in activities of organizations that work towards genuine national democracy and sovereignty.
  • Personally experience the struggle of the peasants, workers, indigenous peoples, urban poor, among others, by joining exposure programs in the rural and urban areas.
  • Organize support groups for CRC and sending appeals on behalf of the children for specific cases.
